Isabella Ståhl's debut book is an intimate depiction of the shifting nature of desire. Yet, instead of forcing meaning, her work elevates quietly as a tool - an entity in of itself. She moves among her subjects, exploring them just enough to get a glimpse of their being. The fleeting falling of a snowflake in front of her lens, a starkly painted red barn. Everything is careful, yet immediate. Steering a thousand miles away from her contemporaries, Ståhl's work imparts no predetermined lesson, it's a transparent and humble analysis. In a world constantly fixated on purpose and meaning, Snö recognizes the power of art, relentlessly changing in the very moment we define it.
